Day Four

On day four we had a nice breakfast then struck out on a long walk to Greenwood cemetery, stopping by the farmer’s market on the way. The weather was perfect. Had drinks and dinner on the walk back and a relaxing evening with our boy before bed.

NYC Day Three

Day three, we left our bags at the hotel after checking out and walked through Central Park to the west side for breakfast. We walked around all day, going to the old neighborhood (where saw some familiar faces, one of which was our old neighborhood Tina Louise)
Finally we collected our bags and headed to Brooklyn. The boy was busy with work so we went for a drink across the street and met a nice guy. Once the boy joined, we had an excellent Ethiopian dinner.

NYC Day Two

Three museums and a piano bar.
I started the day having breakfast at a diner and watching the Knicks parade on tv. Then I went to the Guggenheim Museum. The Kusama  infinity room was so cool!

They had lots of other interesting art as well.

After that I went to The Frick  Museum. No photography allowed but I did snap this one without getting in trouble.
After that I spent some time in Central Park before going to The Met. Musical Bodies was ok. The costume one was nonsense.

After his work day, hubby met me at The Met and we went to a members only evening viewing of Raphael and sublime poetry.

After that we stopped at a piano bar for a cocktail and live music. A nice full day! I’m exhausted.

NYC Day One

After a bumpy flight and a slow car ride, we arrived at our hotel to be confronted with a massive amount of security screening to get in the door. Cops and secret service all over. We could barely get to the check in desk. Turns out jd vance was in the hotel. “Lock up the couches”

Once we finally got to the room and put our bags away we headed out. Had a nice lunch then went to MoMa. They had a nice Frida Kahlo exhibition.

There was also a quilt square making activity, which I did.
Walked through Times Square on the way to Bryant Park, where we played Bingo (like the old days, when we lived here). The boy was able to join us after his work day. And just like the old days, none of us won a single round of bingo.
