Balloon

Took Gil out this morning, walked around the corner of the house and saw this hot air balloon floating over the neighborhood.

Winter?

Took Gil for a walk on Friday, December 11. Neither one of us had to wear a coat.

It was over 60 degrees F.

Craft Group Ornament Challenge

We haven't had a real challenge for awhile, but this month we had a mini challenge.....create an ornament using materials you already had on hand.

Then we drew numbers to see which wrapped ornament we got.

This is the one I made. A made a temari ball.

Holiday Luncheon

My ladies club had our holiday luncheon last week. Started with champagne and cheese while listening to Christmas music, then an international buffet lunch. Toys were collected for a local children's hospital. A great time had by all.

Eastern State Penitentiary

On the last day, we visited the Eastern State Penitentiary. One of the most haunted places in America. Super interesting old prison ruins. Didn't see any ghosts. Probably a good thing!

2015 Christmas Tree

Later we decorated the tree. You can easily see where my pre-lit tree has a string of lights out. I can't find the bulb that might be causing the trouble so I've just tried to add more lights to it, to disguise it. Not really working.

Thanksgiving Excitement

 We had plenty of games, food and fun for Thanksgiving. There was a memory game, pin the wattle on the turkey, pass the peanut and a short story challenge. See just a taste of the excitement below. 

Philly Art Museum

While waiting for the girl to arrive for Thanksgiving, the rest of us went to the Philadelphia Art Museum. It just so happened that they were having their Christmas tree lighting that same evening!

Hiking Group

Finally able to get back with my hiking group! The torn tendon took nearly a year to heal up but I'm so glad its finally better. I've been able to hike again and I've joined two classes at the gym: body flow and body pump. Thinking about also trying body combat. We'll see.

Needle Felted Schnauzer

I made this little needle felted schnauzer for my mom for Christmas. Hope she likes it.

Flower Prize

There was a raffle at the IFC meeting today and I won one of the flower arrangements!
