Visit to the boy

Spent a lovely fall afternoon visiting the boy. The weather was gorgeous. Walked along the Highline and had dinner at an Indian Restaurant. Don't think Granny liked it  but she didn't complain too terribly much.

Town Pumpkin Fest

Our little town had Pumpkin Fest last Friday. There were zombies walking the streets and pumpkins carved by residents. My vote for the people's choice award was the bottom photo.

Cat Walk/ More Leaves

Got a few new outfits. Here she is modeling 2 of them.

New Trail

Found a new trail in town that Gil can walk on. He really seems to enjoy it.

Breakfast

Found a new breakfast diner. Its at a little airport and we can watch planes fly in and out while enjoying a nice breakfast!

Streets of Town

Out on a walk with Gil this afternoon in our cute town, we heard what sounded like the squeal of a pig.

We tracked it down and sure enough it was a pig. There was a lady out walking her 2 dogs and pig in a stroller. super cute!

 

Winery Tour

Went with the ladies club to a local NJ winery for a tour and a tasting. Didn't taste that great but we had a nice day out. Lunch afterward in PA was pretty good.

Fireplace

Got the fireplace working last weekend. The homeowner had never used and had it sealed behind plastic so we weren't sure it would even work. But….as you can see it works and Gil loves it! Of course the next day it was 80 degrees out, so we haven't had it back on.

More Fall Arrangements

Someone was busy while I spent the day on the toilet! She finished 2 more fall arrangements. Aren't they nice? I'm really proud of her hard work and the stunning creations she's come up with!

We have gotten rid of the left overs, with no plans to pick up anymore. Her next craft has not yet been decided, but is leaning towards embroidery or yarn. We'll just have to see what she comes up with after next week's craft group challenge.

colonoscopy

Yesterday, after my shift at the food pantry/thrift shop, I came home to start my colonoscopy prep. I changed into loose clothing, mixed up my concoctions and began the many hours of drinking. After a slow start in the afternoon things took an explosive turn around 6pm! I don't think I got completely cleaned out and apologized ahead of time to the medical team. After I woke up the doc came over said all was fine except for a couple hemorrhoids and some spots of diverticulitis.

 Glad that's over with!!

Painting Lesson

Had a painting Lesson this week. At the last minute she decided she didn't want to paint, so she just observed. There was a dog and a bird at the house we were at, so she had a good time.

Trip to NYC

Took a trip up to NYC last weekend. Granny's first time. Also first time on a train and first time in a persian restaurant. She's a trooper though. We went on a 90 minute tour of the Flatiron area. The day was sunny but chilly in the shade. Had lunch with the boy.
