Went to the grocery last Wednesday after our trip to DC. When I got home, I washed my hands and that is when I felt my ring and noticed something weird. Of course I had to round up a pair of eye glasses to confirm my suspicion, and I when I got them on it was painfully obvious..............the main diamond was missing from my engagement ring!! Where did it go? How long had it been that way? No one knows. But if you happen to find a small diamond laying around somewhere, it could be mine! 
Obviously Gil went on the DC trip. He did pretty good in the car, almost like his old (pre-travel to Japan) self. Here are some photos of his adventures. For some reason they came on in reverse order. The first is a pic of Bo. He was out walking around the back yard of the White House. Unfortunately, he didn't get close enough to see Gil. The steps he is standing on in one photo are the steps in the movie "The Exorcist". There is also a photo of him being carried. He walked his little paws off for 3 days! He was a trooper. He walked from the hotel to the White House and all the memorials. You'll see him here at the Washington, the tidal basin, MLK and FDR. He was worn out and glad to get back to Jersey!
Walked down to the mall one evening and took a few photos. The weather was phenomenal!
Took a 2 night trip to DC to look at colleges for the boy. He liked 2 out of the 3. We had a little time to do some sight seeing. The cherry trees were in full bloom and absolutely gorgeous. Went to the mall and white house first day.
When the girl was here, she asked for a sewing kit, so she could mend something or sew on a button while at school. I found this cute pattern on the internet and since I happened to have some felt, proceeded to make this cute one for her. Obviously the design on front is supposed to be Gil. The original had a cat.
Spring break for the boy kicked off with the SAT yesterday. Today was a trip to Rutgers to see the boys basketball team play in a championship game. Unfortunately they lost.
Spring break for the girl is over and she left yesterday afternoon. I'm afraid it wasn't a very exciting spring break for her, but it was relaxing and she got plenty of rest. Here she is at the IKEA store and the post office with Gil. Now the boy's spring break has begun. He took the SAT yesterday and spent the day today relaxing.
The girl has spring break this week, so she's here with us. Naturally the boy doesn't have his break right now, so has school everyday this week. Went to NYC on Saturday. Some pics from the Natural History Museum follow. The girl met some high school friends who are going to school in New York, while we were there. That is about as exciting as it will get for her I'm afraid. She's stuck here in NJ with us until she heads back this weekend!
