Boy Goes to College

Took the Boy to college over the weekend. His dorm has been completely renovated and air conditioning added. He has a nice room with en suite bathroom, including shower. This lovely lounge is two doors down. His roommates seem nice. He's enjoying welcome week and has even seen a celebrity walking on the street. Hopefully he'll still be so happy and excited when classes finally start.

And now we begin our lives as empty nesters. So far so good. Of course its only been 2 days and hubby has been out of town for both of them.

Jazz and Blues Festival

Went to the Jazz and Blues Festival last weekend. Saw this kid Quinn Sullivan (among others). Quinn is a 14 yr. old blues guitarist, who is fantastic. His mentor is Buddy Guy (and you know me and Buddy go way back....). He's also played with clapton. Keep an eye out for this guy. He's going to be something!

Car Show

Went to a classic car show in a little town nearby. It was a nice day out.

Summer Puzzle

Finished the puzzle I've been working on all summer.

Renaissance Faire

Went to a Renaissance Faire for my birthday. Its been 12 years or more since we last went to one. It was pretty cool. They had a whole village set up, quite large. There was a magic/comedy show, a joust, a human chess game, birds of prey show, lots of characters dressed up and having a good time.
