Kyoto Imperial Palace

Went with a few friends to Kyoto. One friend had reserved us a spot on a tour of the Imperial Palace in Kyoto. We had a great day out. The palace wasn't so fantastic but we saw a few shrines before hand and had a great lunch. A day spent with friends is always fantastic!

Sumo 2010

If you know me at all, you know how much I LOVE the sumo! The hubby and I went to the spring tournament in Osaka last weekend. Here are a few photos. Of course Asashoryu was not there, having recently 'retired' after some trouble in a bar in Tokyo. Kotooshu has long been a favorite of mine. I hope he moves up to Yokazuna soon. He is in the 1st photo. Hakuho, wearing the thick, white rope around his middle, is the only Yokazuna right now.

Plum Festival

Went to the plum festival in Itami on Sunday. The plum trees are in bloom and very beautiful right now. At the plum park there are 50 varieties and about 400 trees. There were ladies and young girls serving tea under the trees. Photos included.
