Have always loved The Oscars. This year's party included, as always, a dish representing each movie, the official ballot and a bingo game. Since there were no guests, we wore pajamas. This year's show was a bit boring, so we didn't even stay up to watch the whole thing. Hubby won the bingo and had the most correct guesses as to who would win in each category!
Got a chair for the big desk in the office, finally. Its only been about 8 or 9 years since we got the desk.
Took Gil to a 'pet communicator' last weekend. She was amazing! She told me things
she could not have known. Of course some of the things she said were things that
anyone could guess, like he doesn't like to have his nails clipped. But other things like "who is the new big sheppard in his life? He really likes her." He had only met his new
girl friend 2 days prior! Anyway,it was very interesting and truly amazing!
First off, what kind of a name is Nemo for a storm? It sounds too cute to be a bad one, which is actually how it turned out for us. Not too bad. We've got a little over 7 inches. I think the worst part missed us. It seems much worse to the north. We didn't have the terrible winds that they predicted and we haven't lost power (yet!). Its actually very beautiful outside. Gil loved romping in it. This is the deepest snow he's been in since he left Indiana. He was running around and rooting around like a mad pig. Of course he paid for it, because he did not like the ice balls stuck in his foot pads and crusted in his arm pits.
Took these photos at 3:30, after shoveling the patio. Only a couple of inches of snow so far, but it is a heavy, wet snow. Hoping it doesn't knock down trees and power lines.
Picture taken at noon. The snow started about 8am. School was cancelled before we even woke up. I've been out and the roads are fine. At 11:30 the snow turned rain-ish. So its half raining/half snowing right now. Have had the furnace guy in, fixing it and the plumber should be here any minute to work on the sink upstairs. All systems are go.
If you believe the weather forecast we are in for a huge snowstorm beginning tomorrow.
You won't find me making fun of this one, like I did Sandi! We have cancelled our plans for the weekend. We are stocked up on food, drink, batteries, candles, magazines & dvd's. We have enough wood for one day, so I hope the power doesn't go out.
