Gil's Egg Hunt

Gil loves hunting Easter eggs! This morning I hid them for him and he found them all. After, he got to eat one. Yum!

Dog Easter Bonnet Parade

Took Gil to the Dog Easter Bonnet Parade yesterday. His bonnet was the cutest. He seemed to enjoy wearing it and he loved all the attention! 

Pics from my day in NYC

Went to NYC with hubby, who had a business meeting. I spent the day wandering around on my own. First stop, Grand Central Station, after its rehab. It looks gorgeous! Passed by the Library, but it wasn't open yet, so didn't go in. Saw New York's finest responding to a call on fifth Ave. Stopped in St. Patrick's Cathedral. Spent some time in the Guggenheim and the Whitney Museums. Had a little lunch while in the Whitney. Stopped at some cute shops on my way back to Penn Station for the train ride back home. A nice day out in the City!

Mini Golf

The boy had Good Friday off school, so we went to the Golf Zone and played 36 holes of miniature golf. We tied the first 18 and I beat him by a few strokes on the last 18. It was pretty fun.

Latest knitting project

I got this cool wool when I was in Soho last week. Its merino and quite large. I got the size 50 circular knitting needles to make this cool throw. I'm afraid I knitted it a bit tighter than I should, but still, I enjoyed making it and like the finished product. Its warm and soft and I made it my self!

Guests from Japan

Two friends from Japan came to visit this week. Had a wonderful time. Met up with two other friends who used to live in Japan. I'm exhausted now, I imagine they must be as well. How nice to spend time with good friends!

Hit and Run

Out this morning on my usual Monday morning walk with a friend, the sun was out, the air was crisp and cool. On a particular stretch of country road, various cars had come and gone. I always get to the side when a car comes up and at this particular point we were single file with me behind when a car came up behind me, luckily not going super fast, because she hit me!! Her car hit my hip and elbow! And she didn't stop! She just kept on going. It didn't knock me down, but it did hurt. It was quite loud, she had to have known she hit me. Anyway, I finished out the walk and got home fine. The arm feels fine but my hip is a bit stiff and sore. I'll keep you posted.

The Emperor's New Robe

My friend gave me this piece of fur to make a collar for Gil's coat.
I think he looks very royal in it!
