Injury Update

One week and a day since the attack, the boy's injuries are healing pretty well. Hubby's hand is only swollen at the puncture sight now and the rest of his wounds are healing. Took Gil for a re-check today and his injuries are looking pretty good as well. Vet said to keep putting on the honey twice a day and keep the pants on, but I don't have to tape a bandage over the wounds. She gave me a little more pain medication for him and he should go back when he finishes the round of antibiotics.

Took My Car In

Took my car in to get fixed from where that girl rear ended me a couple weeks ago. Her insurance is paying and they gave me a car to drive while mine is getting fixed.

The Boy's New Dorm Room

The boy got moved in to his new dorm room. Its like a small studio apartment. He has the furniture nicely organized and is keeping it clean and neat. We're so proud of him!

Dog Attack

Had a bit of trouble in which hubby and Gil sustained injuries from a dog attack, while on the trip.

This is an early shot of one of hub's injuries. Another was on his hand, another on his bum. He went to the minute clinic because his hand was so swollen. Turned out to be infected.
So we found a vet for Gil, who noted that his wounds were also infected. He shaved them and gave him some antibiotics and pain medicine to tide him over till we could get home.

Back in NJ, took him to his regular vet. They gave him some honey ointment and bandages. Told me to fashion a baby's t-shirt over the leg to keep him from licking and eating off the bandages. T-shirt didn't work out, but I crafted this lovely pantsuit. Luckily he likes dressing up and I've managed to keep the pantsuit on most of today.
