Comedy Fundraiser

Went to a comedy night fundraiser for stomach cancer. Had a nice time, helping a good cause.

Holiday Luncheon

My ladies group had the annual holiday luncheon this week. It was held at a very exclusive country club/golf course. Some of the members of the music appreciation group sang Christmas carols and others spoke about holiday traditions in their home countries. Of the 3 entrees offered, I chose the butternut squash ravioli (the vegetarian option). It was a nice day. Just so glad I'm not on the board any more and didn't have to do any of the planning!

Tree Lighting

Our little town had its tree lighting last weekend. After much singing of carols and introductions of local dignitaries, they flipped the switch and lit the tree. Then the fire truck arrived bringing Santa.

Thanksgiving

The boy and girlfriend were able to come down for Thanksgiving. We had a nice little party with games, music, food and tree decorating. Great fun!

Fall Walk and a Cute Return

Enjoyed a lovely fall day this weekend. Walked along the trail in Frenchtown, among other things.

When we got back, I looked all over for Gil, finally finding him in a little nest he had made in the boy's bed.

Bouman Stickney Farmstead Museum

Driving home on a back road today, we happened on to this open land/farmstead museum. The buildings weren't open, but you could walk around the property since it was open land.

I took a few pics and and set the timer for a few.

Bronx Trip

Took a trip with the food appreciation group to Arthur Avenue in the Bronx.

Its the little Italy of the Bronx.

Trip to Colorado

Took a quick trip to Colorado for a visit with Mom and Sis.

                   Went to see the boy yesterday. Took him some warm clothes and had lunch.

Found this dead snake in the yarn. I think it's a Milk Snake.

Carved my pumpkin yesterday. Here it is al lit up for Halloween.

Alas, we had no trick or treaters. I hadn't expected any, so wasn't

too upset.
