After the snow from the blizzard finally started melting away, Gil and I found this patch of hair out by the groundhog's shed. No other signs of a deceased animal like guts or bones. No scat or paw/hoof prints. Only this patch of hair. I'm not even sure what species it is. Horse? Dog? Human?

New Craft Project
In addition to hand making some dish towels for my mom to embroider, I've embarked on a new craft project. Trying to think of a way to use up all the old material I've been dragging from house to house over the last 20 years, I hit upon this idea. I'm using it to make some braided rugs. I've cut it all up and am making braided ropes that I plan to sew together, then make a border with my dad's old jeans legs. I'll let you know how it all works out.
Update on Gil
We got some more snow, but not enough to even shovel, so that was good. It did make everything really pretty in the morning before it melted.
Took Gil back to the doc for a recheck and squeeze out. He put him on an anti-inflammatory to compliment his antibiotic and wants to see him again next week.

The Little Lad
Here is a photo of the little lad last weekend. There was a lot of shooting going on outside, hunting I suppose, and Gil was upset. I put his snood on over his ears to try to drown out the noise. He liked wearing it.
Today I took him to the vet. It seems he has some anal gland trouble. One side was impacted and the other side was infected. He's on antibiotics now.
