Night Out

We saw a Show called A Sherlock Carol, a mix of A Christmas Carol and Sherlock Holmes. Liked it!

Then found a little place with a happy hour and a fireplace!

What luck!

On the way home, saw this memorial to Stephen Sondheim, who had lived in our neighborhood. 

 

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

 Went to the parade today. We had great weather. Found a spot and watched the last half of it. Fun!

Parade Balloon Inflation

 Went to the balloon inflation event yesterday. Lots more people than the last time we went. Proof of vaccination required. It’s fun to see them getting blown up. They’re huge!

The Met Cloisters

 Since hubby was off today, we hopped a bus and went to The Met Cloisters for the first time. It’s quite a ways away. pretty cool though. John D Rockefeller ponied up the funds for it, designed in the style of medieval architecture specifically to house the collection. some pics follow.

Booster

We got our Covid booster shots today. I didn’t even feel it.

Later on my upper arm did get a little sore but it’s no big deal. 

 

Out and About

Its pretty lonesome around the apartment without Gil so I’m just trying to keep busy. Took a walking trip with gals from the IFC, went to a community meeting with local cops, took a walk through Central Park, went to the new mall at Hudson Yards and the museum at FIT (fashion institute of technology).
