 Update on the Kawandi. Slowly but surely.

Antique Mall

Went to Indiana to a huge antique/thrift mall.

This cat statue caught my eye but when I looked at the pic, it was the clown painting that was most interesting!

Later I came across Velvet in a box for only $22. And then I found a Marvel the Mustang.

Such fun!

 

Booth School

Went on a private tour of the Booth School art collection.Two hours and we probably didn’t even see half of it. I only snapped a few pics. Tour followed by a reception on site. Very nice. 

 

Bathroom

Painted my bathroom. Went from dark green to light grey.

 

Beautiful Day

Sunday was a gorgeous day, sunny and warm. We pumped up our bike tires and headed south for a nice ride. Saw one of our friends from the gym who also went for a ride. A nice summery day.

 

Expo Chicago

Got some complimentary tickets to Expo Chicago last weekend and had a nice day out with my girl at Navy Pier. We went on a guided tour, saw lots of art and had a nice lunch. 

 

Eclipse Day

Made my way over to the lake today for the eclipse. We weren’t in the zone of totality but got pretty close.

Lots of people out observing the eclipse and enjoying the warm, sunny day.

 

Cottage Loaf

Made a Cottage Loaf today. Straight from The Great British Baking Show. It was a little askew, but tasted great. 

 

School of the Art Institute

 Went to the School of the Art Insritute End of year exhibition  yesterday. The lots more textiles than I would have thought
