Art Expo 2025

 Went to the Art Expo on Navy Pier today. The SCA gave us a short tour of several gallery booths then we went about the expo on our own afterwards. There were some very nice pieces along with some that just seemed weird. It turned out to be a sunny day so I got to wear my new sunglasses. 

Spirit Award

A very nice volunteer reception last night, put on by the staff at the hospital. They gave me the spirit of service award for my work in the playroom. 

My black hose look horrendous but I couldn’t find any other color at the last minute. 

 

Spring

Spring has come to Madison Park!

 

Easter Sunday

Had a nice day yesterday. Our girl came over and we colored eggs. There was an Easter egg hunt in the park. Then we drove through the pouring rain to an outlet mall. When we came out, the rain was over and the sun was out. We ate at a Mexican restaurant then had a night cap using the skills learned in our mixology class.

 

Mixology Class

 Finally used my Christmas present certificate for the mixology class. We learned how to mix all the ingredients to make our cocktail inventions and how to fix mistakes. It was a nice day out.

National Day of Protest

Great turnout for our protest today!!!

 

Meals On Wheels

I used to volunteer for Meals on Wheels. 

I know how much those people depended on the meals and the visit with the people delivering the meals. This is a disgrace!
