Weekend

A nice weekend hanging out with our girl. She and I made mosaic tile Turkish lamps and we all went out for dinner.
Good Times.

Uniforms

Since ICE has such an enormous budget, 28.7 billion dollars for 2025, why can’t they afford actual uniforms? Why do they have to cosplay as military? Is it so that when Trump and miller put our own military in all our streets we’ll be so used to it, that we won’t raise a fuss?

White House

Just a few pics of what the ‘wanna be’ king has done to The White House. While his goons are running around cities kidnapping people off the streets and from their homes, while farmers are losing their farms and prices of everything rise due to his tariffs, while millions stand to lose their healthcare and the government stays shut down, he continues his destruction of the East Wing of the White House for his 250 million dollar, gold encrusted, unnecessary ballroom.
Who voted for this?

No Kings

Went to the No Kings protest today and it was Massive!! So nice to see so many of our citizens turn out to protest the nonsense happening in our country. Our fantastic governor, JB Pritzker and mayor Johnson gave rousing speeches to the assembled citizens before we headed out for the March.

ice

Ice has now moved in to our neighborhood. They arrested 3 people who are longtime residents and work at one of our favorite restaurants. They detained and interrogated a university student before letting them go and have also been hanging around the high school, harassing and terrifying students. This must stop!!!

Family Fun in Not a War Zone

The boy was in town and we all got together several times over the weekend.
Saturday included a walk from South Side to Lincoln Park. Please enjoy the photos and take note that Chicago is NOT a war zone. (At least until the idiot in chief’s officers try to turn it in to one.)

NOT a war zone

On Saturday we went to the Art Institute for an early morning tour of the new installation on the terrace. The curator and the artist were there. Afterwards we walked across town to Lou Mitchell’s where we had a most excellent (and large) breakfast. Later we walked over to the lake.
A nice day all around.
And as you can see, Chicago is NOT a war zone.

New Windows

Finally got our new windows installed.
