 Really nice, sunny day today. Decided to give my fingers a break from sewing and took a walk to Central Park.

Funeral

I took my food scraps to the compost guys at the farmer’s market earlier and since it was a nice day, I decided to take a walk and get some steps in. Imagine my surprise when I found myself in the middle of the funeral for one of the policemen that got killed. Fifth avenue was closed from St Patrick’s down to the library at 43rd. Tons of cops from all over, lined the street, listening to the funeral on loud speakers

In their dress uniforms.
