Security

Our building is now surrounded on all sides by security. No crime happening here.

Accordion Festival

Took a picnic to last night’s accordion festival at Bryant Park. A beautiful evening.

Ramping Up

The start date is still a couple days away but people are already flooding the area, security is ramping up, some streets are already closed and at least one demonstration is already under way. The mural is finished, the street homeless have been moved. Looks like we’re ready.

Tap Along

Yesterday was the Tap Along with Toes Tiranoff.
There was a variety of dancers, each taking their turn then they all got up for the finale. They were all very good. Getting ideas for my next tap dance extravaganza.

Preparations

Preparations have begun for the UN General Assembly. Barricades are being moved in, so that streets can be blocked, gates ready to go up to keep people in and out of spaces and a mural is in progress. Stayed tuned for updates.  Also, since it’s New York Fashion week I’ve thrown in a pic of me wearing hillbilly style. I haven’t seen anybody else in such a fashionable ensemble.

Fun With the Girl

Went to the tail end of the Labor Day Parade, Happy Cat, SoHo and MoMA while walking/shopping. Pics below. Saw a film at MoMA and surprise….the film maker was in the audience and had a little impromptu discussion.

Girls First Full Day

The Girl’s first full day. Started out by walking about 4 miles to the Harlem Biscuit Company. As usual, best biscuits in town. Walked through Central Park and Rockefeller Center before having a picnic supper at Bryant Park, listening to some cool jazz.
