On Our Own

The next day we stopped in Saugerties (cute town) and walked to their lighthouse. Followed by a stop in Woodstock, ending at our rooms in an historic building in another cute Hudson Valley town.

 

Upstate NY

Spent two fabulous days with our good friends in NY.

Enjoyed breakfast at the Saratoga Race Course, next to the track with horses getting a morning workout.

Followed by a behind the scenes tour. Very interesting.

And this was before he had the river raised so he could go in a boat for his birthday!

Surprise!

What a nice surprise! I went to the hospital today for my cuddling shift and this nice surprise was set up for us.

Since we restarted the cuddlers program a few months ago, we’ve already cuddled over 100 babies!

The cookies and cupcakes were yummy but the cuddles are the best!

 

Sunday Funday

 Another beautiful day Sunday. We went downtown (on the train this time) and wound up at a concert on Navy Pier. The band was pretty good. Stopped at a Thai restaurant on the way home. Nice day out. 

Big Walk

 Gorgeous day Saturday, not as much smoke from Canadian wildfires. Walked from South Side to South Loop, skirted around edge of Lollapalooza security fencing and ended up at a Hawaiian restaurant. Got a car back home. 26,423 steps

Nice Weekend

Took a nice trip to Indiana to visit friends. Had a wonderful time as always. Went to a golfing place and played three games. Somehow I ended up winning two of them even though I was the worst golfer.

We had loads of fun.
