Trip to the City

Took a trip into the city to see the boy, yesterday. Stopped by a campus art gallery to take in the exhibit. Exhibits like this confirm to me that maybe my paintings aren't so bad after all. It seems like anybody can do anything and it can be hung in a gallery.

The piece to the left is a collage.

Below are 2 oil paintings.

To the left is a piece done in crayons and the other is paint of some sort .

From there we went to McSorley's Old Ale House, NYC's oldest continuously operated saloon. Abe Lincoln and John Lennon have been there. After a battle in the Supreme Court, women were finally allowed access in 1970! Unfortunately it was so crowded it wasn't particularly enjoyable. We'll be back though.

Walking through Union Square we happened onto 2 protests.

The protest under the arch, was an anti gun rally that featured a short play, that was reminiscent of something from Shakespeare's day. Quite good actually.
