Other Scenes

Went through Times Square earlier today. They were getting ready for the Tony Awards. The red carpet was out and the wall where the stars get there pictures taken was up.

Included is a pic I took thru the door of a restaurant, of a guy with the largest drink I’ve ever seen.

 

Library Treasures

 The library has put some of its treasures in a new exhibition.We got timed tickets and went to it today. They have tons of neat items. Pics of a few below.

Finally Over

 Well it’s finally over. Final protest went by, cops packed up and left, only a bunch of trash left behind  

Full Swing

 They’re in full swing now! Protesters galore, cops on every corner day and night, sirens and convoys, cameramen and interviews. Bigwigs I’m sure. It’s quite a circus. But where have the homeless and the drunks gone?

Checkpoints

 The general assembly has begun in earnest. Checkpoints abound. Police everywhere. Traffic snarls. Excitement galore.

2 Parades in 2 days

 Walking downtown to the safe disposal event where I turned in Gil’s used syringes, we happened upon the Mexican Independence Day Parade. Only caught the tail end of it, here are some pics.
