Walked over to Christie’s this week to check out their art going on the auction block. A nice collection but I thought Sotheby’s a bit better. Although Christie’s has a nicer building, location and lighting. Below are some highlights. Some I like, some I’m making fun of. If a crayon drawing by someone I’ve never heard of can fetch $25,000-$35,000, maybe I can sell a page out of one of my coloring books! The photos are out of order but you’ll hopefully recognize the Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol that just sold for 195 million bucks.
The Marilyn was in its own special room with this at the entrance. There were 2 guards, one on other either side of it. It’s coming up, below.
