Got My Car Back

Got my car back last week. Bumper looks good as new. They cleaned and detailed it inside and out.

Granola

I've been making my own cereal for awhile. Made another batch today and thought to take a pic half way through. Its much healthier than store bought. No sugar. We've tried to cut out added sugar as much as possible.

Recovered

Great news! Gil has recovered from his injuries. As you can see below his wounds are nearly healed. He has finished his antibiotics and is once again playing and acting like his regular self. This morning I gave him a haircut and a bath. Took him for a walk and he met a nice, small pup and made friends. He wasn't afraid of other dogs and he was happy to go about naked without having to wear his pants.
His dad is also healed up nicely.

Nuno Felting

The craft group did a felting lesson last week. I chose to do nuno felting, rather than wet felting. I had gotten a scarf at the thrift shop and decided to try to make a fall table runner. I didn't think to get photos of the beginning but here are a few of the later stages. It was pretty fun and I plan to do some more felting. Just haven't decided what to do with it.

My project was too big to finish with the group, so I brought it home and worked on it. Here I am still felting the wool to the scarf by rubbing it with the bubble wrap and soapy water.

It finally seems felted, so its time to rinse.

After rinsing in hot water and balling it up and throwing it around the sink, it has begun to shrink.

Drying

Finally the felted table runner is finished. I'm thinking of adding some decorative stitching to the top.

Injury Update

One week and a day since the attack, the boy's injuries are healing pretty well. Hubby's hand is only swollen at the puncture sight now and the rest of his wounds are healing. Took Gil for a re-check today and his injuries are looking pretty good as well. Vet said to keep putting on the honey twice a day and keep the pants on, but I don't have to tape a bandage over the wounds. She gave me a little more pain medication for him and he should go back when he finishes the round of antibiotics.

Took My Car In

Took my car in to get fixed from where that girl rear ended me a couple weeks ago. Her insurance is paying and they gave me a car to drive while mine is getting fixed.

The Boy's New Dorm Room

The boy got moved in to his new dorm room. Its like a small studio apartment. He has the furniture nicely organized and is keeping it clean and neat. We're so proud of him!
