The Craft Group went on a trip to the Garment District in NYC this week. I wish I'd had an idea of something to make. The loads and loads of fabric on display was beautiful but a bit overwhelming.
We went to several fabric shops, including Mood (from Project Runway). I was not overly impressed with mood, but I did like the shop dog! We also went to a shop where they make flowers by hand the old fashioned way, still using the old iron molds from when the shop opened over 100 years ago. Everyone else got some beautiful fabrics. I only bought my lunch.
Our challenge is to use the swatches we picked up in some sort of craft, due in December. I didn't get many. Still trying to decide what to do.
