Midtown Manhattan Tour

Went on a free walking tour of Midtown Manhattan last weekend. Unfortunately for us, there was also a Polish Pride Parade which kept getting in our way with blocked streets and access to buildings on our tour. We still had a nice time though.

Times Square (named because the New York Times offices were there). The New Year's ball is up there, waiting to be dropped on New Year's Eve.

Chrysler Building in the distance. And closer up.

Grand Central Station.

Ceiling of the Grand Central Station. When they recently refurbished it, they found this ceiling mural under all the grime. They left that tiny black spot to remind people what it looked like before they cleaned it.

Road block for parade path.

St Patrick's Cathedral.

Parade happening in front of St Patrick's.
